Snails For Sale
As we have said elsewhere on this web site, although our name is snailtrail.co.uk, our campervans are all young - and so for their type, drive at very respectable speeds. But because life becomes more leisurely in a VW camper van, and because they provide you with a home-from-home wherever your travels may take you, we affectionately think of them as our snails, hence the title of this page.
At snailtrail we are constantly looking to update our fleet, and so from time to time we have to say goodbye to one of our much loved campers. They are not old and have been very well cared for, but we must keep moving on. So on this page we list the snails we have for sale. We also offer for sale here young Volkswagen campers on behalf of other sellers, and VW campers that have not been on our hire fleet but which we think you may like.
We also offer vintage caravans for sale - these are ideal as alternative & retro office, creative or playhouse space, or could offer additional space when friends and relatives come to stay. We occasionaly offer classic cars for sale too.

Ok, so we've spelt her name differently, but we think the Oasis song still fits. This is a gorgeous late 2006 low mileage, high specification camper in an unusual and delicious dusky lilac under white. Truly stunning!

Polly Dolly - Blue Vintage Caravan
This sweet 1958 Alperson caravan is more than a little bit special - we've not seen or heard of another one like her. She has doors on both sides (for Continental travel!), so she doesn't have a "bad side", she's pretty from every angle! Because she has two doors, and because we just couldn't decide which we preferred for her, we've named her twice!
Polly Dolly is a pretty piece of British caravanning history and offers great space for a playhouse (beds, kitchen & table already included!) or creative studio, and could also be converted into an office area. Chausson Flash 03
The Chausson Flash 03 won the Which Motorcaravan? Best Family Motorhome 2006 Award. This vehicle was registered in 2006 and has travelled approximately 19,000 miles. It features a kitchenette with fridge, grill, hob and sink, and a wc with shower, vanity sink and toilet. Large over-cab king size bed, bunk beds & small double bed which converts from the dining area. There is also a flat screen tv with dvd player and bike rack for 4 bikes, the clever design provides a "garage" area to the rear of the motorhome when the bunk beds are not in use.

Miss Molly
now S O L D
... is a very tidy camper van! A 2007 registered camper, she was one of the last air-cooled campers to be imported from Brazil. Molly is right hand drive and has only covered approximately 9,000kms. A beautiful peacock blue under white (best represented here by the photo directly under this text), Molly has been very well looked after but now needs a new home - she's looking for love, laughs and adventure.

... is special. She's one of a limited edition of only 400 produced by VW to mark the end of production of the air-cooled bays.
Some VW dealerships in Brazil bought stock of these and are storing them away as investment - because of the limited numbers they should only go up in value. Sylvie has metallic silver paint inside and out, heated screen's front and rear, black bumpers and head lamp rims, grey cloth & vinyl interior. Sylvie has been fitted with a pop-up roof and has a coolbox, grill, hob & sink. Wooden laminate flooring. Electric hook up & leisure battery. Sylvie is left hand drive and seats 4 people.

Big Bertha ... SOLD
... so named because of her generous berth (she won't mind us saying!). With a removable central bench seat, Bertha can seat up to 6 people. She also boasts a pop-up roof, so she can sleep up to 4 people. She is a very pretty summer sky blue under white (similar to our own Betty) and has a low mileage of 13,000kms. 2005 registration, right hand drive and loads of charisma!
Beautiful big Bertha has now been SOLD - we wish her happy days with her new owners.

... a gorgeous right-hand drive, 4 berth camper who goes by the name of Delilah. She has a pop-up roof, auxiliary battery, electric hook up, hob, grill and coolbox.Traditional air cooled engine and 55 plate. Approximately 30,000 kms on the clock. We think she's mighty pretty!! Delilah has been working for the BBC starring in the programme "The Truth About Property" - so we can honestly say that she is "as seen on TV"!
